Divi 5 introduces powerful animation capabilities that let you create engaging, modern websites without writing code. These animations bring your designs to life and create memorable user experiences that increase engagement and conversions.
## Understanding Divi 5 Animation Types
Divi 5 supports entrance animations (fade in, slide in, bounce), hover animations (color changes, scale transforms), and scroll animations (parallax, fade on scroll). These animations trigger based on user interaction, creating dynamic experiences that feel responsive and polished.
## Implementing Scroll-Based Animations
Scroll animations engage visitors as they navigate down your page. Configure elements to fade in as they enter the viewport, slide in from sides, or scale up with parallax effects. This creates visual interest and encourages deeper engagement with your content.
## Creating Interactive Hover Effects
Hover animations transform static designs into interactive experiences. When users hover over buttons, images, or cards, trigger smooth color transitions, scale transforms, or icon animations. These micro-interactions make your site feel premium and responsive.
## Animating Text and Headlines
Use text animations to draw attention to important headlines and calls-to-action. Split text into words or letters and animate each individually for a staggered reveal effect. This technique creates dramatic impact and guides user attention.
## Performance Considerations
While animations enhance user experience, excessive animations can slow your site. Use GPU-accelerated animations (transforms and opacity changes), limit simultaneous animations, and test Core Web Vitals to ensure animations don’t negatively impact page speed.
## Best Practices for Animation Design
Keep animations purposeful—each animation should serve a function, not distract. Use consistent timing and easing curves across your site for a cohesive feel. Test animations on mobile devices to ensure they perform smoothly on all devices.
